heat wave continues
enjoying books and movies
and lots of iced tea

vista at dusk
lightning filled clouds herald
incoming thunderstorm

still scorching outside
coneflowers and day lillies
wave in the breeze

puzzle solving-
words come but numbers don't
a nap to reboot

no one to chat with
trying to get chores done
becaue I'm empowered

in the fourth watch
birdsong symphony
to an orange dawn

late night puzzle work
sudoku close but no cigar
crossword drives me nuts

facebook friend offer-
old buddy from work
setting up real world meet

this week's project-
controlling the chaos
in the living room

slogging through
the haze of tiredness
till it's time to go home

on a cleaning jag
office almost in great shape

long day of driving
dialouge work in the car

cold fruit soup cooling in fridge
