and treat at Whole Foods

packer drops in time over
whir of the filler

in the wee hours
seeing a mostly full moon
sitting in the clouds

being flat broke

doing the budget
laughing at what I don't have
and have to pay for

soggy two days off-
sleeping most of the day
puttering at chores

seeking

frantic these days

trying to undo

the sins of my youth

furry snooze alarm

trying to sleep in
a cold nose butting my cheek
is the dream killer
