Sitting at the desk
neck and back tightening up
during paperwork

zoning the bedroom
carving out a quiet space
to hear the silence

Past tired-
trying to find the energy
to do the chores

between two jobs
waiting for all heck to break
on either front

mission for the year
sagging under under the strain
of exhaustion

end of brutal week
hanging on long enough
to crawl into bed

Once again-

boss enlarging to do list

"I'll be happy to"
